
Maria A. Gkoutsiou
Maria was born in 1986 and is admitted to practice law in Greece (Supreme Court). She joined Major & Grove in October 2017 after working at Dryllerakis & Associates Law Firm from 2009 to 2017. Maria has also served as Legal Advisor to the Greek Minister of Shipping and has participated in the development of law and regulations in the shipping sector.
Maria specialises in corporate law with particular focus in the marine sector. She has extensive experience in complex corporate transactions in the shipping market, in shipping institutional matters and transactional shipping (sale and purchase of ships, ship finance etc.). Her practice also extends to corporate transactions in other sectors (such as renewable energy and real estate) advising clients on a wide range of corporate and tax matters including corporate governance projects, shareholders agreements, joint ventures and tax planning. Maria has also long experience in Greek law matters, mainly in the areas of corporate, tax (including transfer pricing), real estate and labour law.
